Qatar Airways Adjusts Doha-Venice Flights with Airbus A330-300 in March 2025

Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Qatar Airways, a member of the oneWorld alliance, will operate the Doha-Venice Marco Polo (VCE) route with Airbus A330-300 aircraft from March 1 to March 29, 2025, replacing the current Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. This temporary change comes alongside a service reduction from seven to five weekly flights, which will be in effect from February 17 to March 29, 2025.

The updated flight schedules for the route are as follows:

Doha (DOH) to Venice (VCE) – QR125

Venice (VCE) to Doha (DOH) – QR126

Service Frequency Reduction

As part of the adjustment, Qatar Airways will reduce flights on the Doha-Venice route from seven weekly to five weekly beginning February 17, 2025, and continuing until March 29, 2025. The reduction aligns with seasonal demand changes and operational considerations.

Why the Airbus A330-300?

The Airbus A330-300, a twin-aisle, wide-body aircraft, offers Qatar Airways greater flexibility in aligning capacity with demand. Key features include:

  1. Seating Capacity: Configured to provide a balance between premium and economy seating, the A330-300 accommodates a mix of passenger preferences.
  2. Enhanced Comfort: Passengers can expect a comfortable journey with Qatar Airways’ signature service, including spacious seating and onboard amenities.
  3. Operational Efficiency: The A330-300 is well-suited for medium-haul routes like Doha-Venice, providing cost efficiency during transitional periods.

Implications for Passengers

The operational changes aim to optimize Qatar Airways’ resources during the Northern Hemisphere’s low travel season, ensuring efficient fleet utilization. Travelers on the Doha-Venice route will continue to benefit from Qatar Airways’ award-winning service, including access to the Hamad International Airport in Doha, a leading global aviation hub.

Looking Ahead

As Qatar Airways continues to fine-tune its route network, these adjustments highlight the airline’s focus on operational flexibility and meeting passenger demand. The return of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on this route is expected as travel demand picks up in subsequent seasons.

For passengers planning travel between Doha and Venice, Qatar Airways remains a premier choice, offering seamless connectivity, world-class service, and the reliability of a globally trusted carrier.
